Community of Ridgeway Partners With Digital Bridge to Host
Community E-Waste Drive Aug. 6
Milwaukee & Ridgeway, Wis. – July 21, 2026 – The Community of Ridgeway is partnering with Digital Bridge, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing electronic waste and expanding access to technology, to host a community e-waste collection event on Thursday, Aug. 6.
The event will take place from 11:00 to 2:00 at the Village of Ridgeway Community Center, 208 Jarvis St., Suite A, Ridgeway, WI 53582. Residents may deliver items to the Ridgeway Community Center during office hours beginning Thursday, July 30, 2026 to be stored until the day of the event.
Residents of The Village and Town of Ridgeway are invited to bring unwanted electronics for secure, responsible recycling and refurbishment. Accepted items include computers, laptops, monitors, tablets, printers, keyboards, mice, networking equipment, cables, and other common electronic devices. The following items cannot be accepted: light bulbs, liquids, oxygen tanks, and large household appliances.
All donated electronics will be securely processed and either responsibly recycled or refurbished for reuse, helping divert e-waste from landfills while expanding access to technology for individuals and organizations in need.
“Hosting this e-waste drive is a great opportunity for our community to dispose of unwanted electronics responsibly while making a positive impact beyond Ridgeway,” said Lori Phelan, Clerk and Treasurer for the Village of Ridgeway. “We're excited to partner with Digital Bridge and invite residents from throughout the area to participate in this effort to protect our environment and support digital access.”
Digital Bridge provides free, secure IT asset disposition services to businesses, municipalities and nonprofits nationwide, and regularly partners with organizations to host community and workplace e-waste collection events. Since its inception, the organization has diverted more than 20 million pounds of electronic waste from landfills and refurbished more than 35,000 devices for reuse.

Community e-waste drives provide a convenient way for residents to safely dispose of outdated electronics while ensuring devices are handled in an environmentally responsible manner. Refurbished equipment supports schools, nonprofits, and families in need, while materials that cannot be reused are responsibly recycled.
