Dog Park

Park Location:

The dog park is located on the south side of Stonier Lane, just north of the park.  Please park on the south side of the park in the large gravel lot, and not along Stonier Lane.

What Are The Hours?

8:00am - 10:00pm Daily (there is a 30 min timer light on the light pole in the middle of the east side fence of the park)

It is very muddy at the entrance to the park as we freeze/thaw. We hope to have a renovation project planned for the entrance area if we get donations, but be patient and aware of the mud. 

Know The Rules:

• Dog owners are legally and financially liable for injuries or damages caused by their dog(s). Wis. Stat. Ann. 174.02(1).
• All dogs must be legally licensed and vaccinated.
• Dogs are required to wear a visible, municipal license, and I.D. tag. Wis. Stat Ann. 95.21(2).
• Aggressive dogs are prohibited from the park.
• Any dog exhibiting aggressive behavior must be removed from the park immediately.
• The owner/handler must be in control of his/her dog(s) at all times. The dog must be within view and under voice control of the owner/ handler.
• Dog waste must be cleaned up and placed in the proper receptacle by the owner/handler.
• Female dogs in season (heat) are not allowed in a Dog Park.
• Dogs must be leashed and restrained by a 6-foot static leash when entering and leaving off-leash area. The owner/handler must have the leash in their possession at all times.
• Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times

Park Information:

Village ordinances allow for pets on leashes on all trails in village parks and/or conservancy areas. The dog exercise area is part of the over 16-acre conservancy property that is owned and operated by the Village of Ridgeway. The fenced dog park is the ONLY portion where the dogs may be off-leash.

Volunteer Information:

Volunteers are needed for the Park and Recreation Commission Events. Contact the village office for more information.

Donation Information:

Donations are welcome at the Village of Ridgeway Office and/or drop box at the Dog Park or Village Office. Please designate in some way to indicate the donation is for the dog park if taking to the village office or village drop box.
